PLEASE READ: Private 3rd-floor bdrm in a historic Victorian shared home near Downtown Long Beach. Room has 1 small window and central heat/A/C. Shared living in a 7-bdrm home (occupancy varies). Baths are generally shared 2... roommates per bath.
Shared spaces: community kitchen; common areas include living, library room, and pool table area. Washer/dryer on-site (laundry hours 9:00 AM-9:00 PM). Porch + yard. Close to public transportation and major roads.
Rent/Utilities: $850/mo + shared utilities split among residents (based on occupancy): electric, water, gas, internet. Deposit: $700. NO PETS. No smoking or drugs of any kind in the house—no exceptions. Screening: Tenant completes their own credit/background verification using a link provided.
Parking: limited drvwy Prkg first come/first serve + street parking as needed. If you park in driveway, leave car keys in basket by front door; cars may be moved to street in front of house except (street sweeping). Guests may NOT park in drvwy, NO EXCEPTIONS.
House rules: all residents share cleaning duties for common areas (kitchen/bath). Tenants are assigned communal areas to clean; changes require unanimous agreement. Cleaning supplies for assigned areas are the tenant’s responsibility. Kitchen motto: “Leave it the way you found it”wipe counters, wash dishes, sweep/mop as needed, and take out trash when full (no overstuffing). Kitchen supply costs are split with receipts provided. Tenants must be active on the house group text. No loud parties; obey noise laws.
Guests: day guests allowed with notice via group text. Overnight guests require unanimous approval. Extended overnight stays (>1 night) require unanimous approval, guest introduction, max 1 week.
Historic home care (legal): home is legally held to a higher standard of care/cleanliness. No drilling, nailing, taping, or tacking on original red wood/historic surfaces. Any damage must be reported immediately to property management; consequences may include removal.
